LFA Board of Directors Campaign Notes

Voting for the 2014/2015 LFA Board of Directors will commence on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 and close on Monday, April 28, 2014, at 3:30 p.m.

There are seven positions to fill and 11 candidates.  The candidate names and their campaign notes are found at this link.  You will also find hard copies in your mailbox on April 22nd.

Report on Pros and Cons of FPSE Membership Posted

As was previously communicated, Alan Cooper, former LFA President and retired faculty member, was hired by the LFA Board to do a report to meet the requirements of the following 2 motions passed at the 2013 AGM:

  1. That the Langara Faculty Association investigate the pros and cons of its membership in the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators (FPSE) and report back no later than the 2014 LFA Annual General Meeting.
  2. That the investigation report be distributed to the membership one month before the 2014 AGM.

This report can be found at this link and is effective April 1,2014 which is one month before our AGM.

Alan will attend the LFA AGM on May 1, 2014 to address any questions faculty may have regarding the report.
