Bill C-51, the federal government’s Anti-Terrorism Act, has raised concerns about the potential impact on the basic civil liberties of all Canadians. The proposed legislation would establish criminal offences that infringe upon the right to free expression.

The Canadian Studies and Environmental Studies programs are jointly sponsoring two events regarding the upcoming transportation plebiscite. Everyone is welcome to attend and admission is free.
The UNBC Faculty Association has been negotiating for an agreement similar to those at comparable Canadian universities since April 2012. Unable to reach a settlement though bargaining, mediation, or arbitration, Faculty have been on strike since March 5. UNBC faculty stationed at Langara are on strike but there are no picket lines.
